Three New Superior Court Judges Sworn In

Judge Mary Beth Priest was sworn in as a Superior Court Judge in the Appalachian Judicial Circuit, comprised of Gilmer, Fannin, and Pickens counties. Judge Priest previously was an associate with Clark and Clark in Ellijay. She earned a bachelor’s degree from North Georgia College and State University and a law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law. She and her husband, Jeremy, have two children and reside in Ellijay.

Judge John Worcester was also sworn in as a Superior Court Judge in the Appalachian Judicial Circuit. He served previously as Chief Juvenile Court judge for the Appalachian Circuit. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University, a master’s degree from Troy University, and a law degree from Atlanta Law School. He and his wife, Sharon, live in Jasper.

Judge Eric Norris was sworn in as a Superior Court Judge for the Western Judicial Circuit, comprised of Clarke and Oconee counties. He previously served as chief magistrate judge for Oconee County. He earned a bachelor’s degree from North Georgia College and a law degree from Regent University in Virginia. He and his wife Jennifer have two children and live in Watkinsville
