Gov. Brian Kemp swears in Judge Kevin Morris of the Alcovy Judicial Circuit

Kevin Morris was sworn in as a Superior Court Judge on January 30th, 2023 by Governor Brian Kemp. He replaces Superior Court Judge John Ott, who is now retired. Prior to being sworn in, Judge Morris served as a Magistrate Court Judge of Walton County. Judge Morris earned an undergraduate degree from University of Georgia, and his law degree from the Mercer Law School.

Statewide Judicial Emergency Extended

Georgia’s Supreme Court Chief Justice Harold D. Melton issued an order extending the statewide judicial emergency by one month. The original order was to expire on April 13th. The new order extends the statewide judicial emergency until May 13th. A copy of the order can be found here.
