Rebecca Rieder was sworn in as a superior court judge by Gov. Nathan Deal on November 7th, 2018. Judge Rieder will serve in the Atlanta Judicial Circuit, filling a vacancy created by the retiring of Judge Doris Downs.
Before being appointed to the bench, Judge Rieder was a partner at the law firm, Hedgepeth, Heredia & Rieder. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of the South, a master’s degree from the University of Georgia, and her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Judge Rieder, her husband, and two children reside in Atlanta, GA.
